About Us

Army Navy Gear serves past and present military members and their families, public service personnel, outdoor enthusiasts, and the work wear related industry. We are proud to offer a wide range of products in the military, tactical, and outdoor fields. We have a variety of gear for military surplus, camouflage, law enforcement, public safety, outdoor, and camping fields. 

Indy Army Navy was started in the 1940's in downtown Indianapolis, IN. It was originally named Downtown Surplus Store. In the mid 1970's we moved to our current location. In the 1980's we were renamed Indianapolis Army Navy to better reflect our locale. We have been servicing the local community for generations and look forward to doing so for generations to come.

In the early 2000's the military surplus market became difficult and we began to expand our product range into other areas that fit well with our niche market. This led to the Military, Tactical, Outdoor theme. 

We have come a long way from our beginnings and are continually working on improving our products and service. We will be continually updating our products online and look forward to improving our service to not just the local community but the much larger online marketplace.
